We at Shakespearean Jeans Theatre would like to acknowledge that our creative practice takes place on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation*. We would like to pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging and recognise that story-telling and art have been a part of indigenous culture on this land for over 20 000 years. The effects of colonisation are ongoing to this day, across all of so-called Australia. Sovereignty was never ceded.

*As it has sometimes differed from show to show, you can visit the top of each production's page under Past Shows to find information about whose land we were working on at the time.
